Back in June a rumor surfaced that Cryptic Studios Seattle would be closing, and that they were working on an open-world Jurassic World video game. Unfortunately, it was confirmed shortly after that the studio had shut down. While the Jurassic game evidence was always fleeting, there was enough to logically conclude that the rumor was true.

The original information, which came from Reddit, described the game as such:
‘I got to see some screenshots of Cryptic Studio's newest game, which was based on Jurassic World. It was a 3rd person game where the player controlled Chris Pratt's character. Several dinosaurs from the series were going to be in it including: Gallimimus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus and Baryonyx.
Not quite sure what you would have done in the game other than it being described as being similar to 'H1Z1.' Early Access on Steam would have come out soon but that's all the info I know.’
Today, assets have surfaced from numerous ex-cryptic artists that can all but confirm the games existence, even if they don’t outright say it’s a Jurassic game. Ironically, some of these have been online in demo reels for 5 months, but were simply unnoticed until now.
Further, artists from Cryptic shared highres images of dinosaur models, some of which, like the Baryonyx, utilize designs similiar to those by Julius Csotonyi made for JurassicWorld.com . Also included are images of characters from the game, with none other than Chris Pratt as Owen. Check out some of the images below!

An artists shed’s some more information about the game:
Creature/Environment Artist
Cryptic Studios (Perfect World)
June 2014 - June 2015 (1 year) | Seattle, WA, United States of America
I worked as both a creature artist and an environment artist for an unannounced project. I created numerous creatures from scratch, and helped out with assets/textures for an open-world environment. Created props, foliage & modular architecture. My duties : Zbrush, Model, Texture, Skinning, Collision, LODs, Level Editing
Looking back to another artists, she shares that the ‘unannounced project’ was built utilizing Unreal Engine 4, and was planned for release on Steam, Xbox Live and PSN. The game was likely digital only, and probably would have retailed for somewhere between $19.99 - $39.99 - however, from the videos and assets above it seems they were sparing no expense while bringing this Jurassic world to life.
This story is bittersweet; while we get to see some really cool unreleased Jurassic World game bits, it’s weighed down by the fact that these talented artists and many more were layed off when the studio shut down. Hopefully they all land on their feet and find a new job soon, if they haven’t already. As for the game, lets hope Universal finds a way to bring it back from extinction. A good Jurassic game is long overdue, and this seemed to be a great concept that would have been a hit with fans across the board.
Huge thanks to @romainrevert who linked me to one of the pages! Be sure to give him a follow - he's one of the talented artists at Illumination Entertainment, and has worked on films such as Minions!
As always, stay tuned for the latest news. It’s a very special Dinovember, and we’re sure more is on its way. Names and images removed at the requests of the artists as the information reguarding their origin is speculation on our part.

Make it happen. It has to, right? There's no reason not to make a game. People will buy it and play it.

Also, why is everyone always so obsessed with an Operation Genesis game? The first one is being undeservingly put on a soapbox just because it was one of the few JP games that didn't suck - we should be clamoring for a good open-world FPS/survival simulator way more than a theme park builder.
