In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Indian actor Irrfan Khan discussed his upcoming filming schedule for Jurassic World, which begins filming this month in Hawaii. He claims that his filming schedule in Hawaii is a fairly relaxed one:
"It's a brief schedule to begin with, though my role is anything but brief. At the moment all I can tell you on record is that it's a pivotal role. I am very excited about the project. It's the second American global franchise after Spiderman that I am part of,"
This could mean that the Oahu and Kauai scenes are being saved for exteriors and possibly more action packed exterior scenes that do not involve Khan's character, Patel.
"After the first brief first schedule of Jurassic World, I'll be back in India to shoot for Shoojit Sircar's Piku. I'll complete one long schedule of Piku and then return to the US for a long schedule of Jurassic World. So it'd continue for the rest of the remaining part of the year."
So it sounds like Patel is indeed a major part of Jurassic World, and will act mostly like John Hammond's character in the first film - staying inside the buildings within his park. That is pure speculation based on what Irrfan Khan has said about his role.
In similar news, actor Ty Simpkins who plays 'Gray', has arrived in Hawaii ready to film Jurassic World! To our readers: it's finally happening.
